Explore the world of “Take Off” – an exceptional scientific adventure that goes beyond the multimedia show and celebrates young people and science.

A bold initiative

Supported by the André Losch Foundation and the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), this joint initiative aims to encourage young people and families to take an interest in science, by promoting role models with whom they can identify.
The project aims to enhance the image of young people – representative of Luxembourg’s diversity – and bring their talents and potential to the fore.

An exceptional show

Take Off – Science Challenge Show is an original 13-episode multimedia program, broadcast both on the web and on TV, which pits 12 contestants aged between 15 and 21 against each other.
These talented youngsters first compete as a team to solve stimulating scientific challenges, before moving on to individual tests, with a €10,000 prize for the winner.

Contestants will have to use their ingenuity, skill and scientific acumen to tackle tricky challenges, and use their scientific minds to progress, because at the end of each episode, one contestant will have to leave the show!

A beautiful partnership

“Take Off” is the fruit of a fine collaboration between André Losch Fondation and the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), inspired by the original format of the Estonian Research Council and Vesilind.
Beyond this duo, the success of the initiative is possible thanks to the support of RTL Luxembourg and the commitment of all the partners, including Freelens and Brainplug, and of course the Jeunes.

Why?

“Take Off helps showcase the diversity and talents of each young person, providing a space where he/she can inspire and motivate other young people.”

“Take Off” goes beyond the multimedia show.

The aim of this content is to enable everyone to use the challenges taken up by the young people on the show to encourage their audience, whether in high schools, or at home with friends, etc.
