Who we are

Recognized as a public utility since its creation in 2009, André Losch Foundation supports and finances projects dedicated to young people in the Grand Duchy, with a concrete, measurable and sustainable impact, in the fields ofsocial inclusion,education and health. The Foundation’s mission is to contribute to the development of a fairer, more sustainable and inclusive society for young people in Luxembourg. As a shareholder foundation, André Losch Fondation guarantees the long-term future of the Losch Group and its 1,300 employees, without interfering in the management of the company. To support its philanthropic actions over the long term, the Foundation has access to endowments from André Losch’s lifetime, as well as to income from its shareholdings and assets.

Aware of its societal role as a philanthropic actor, André Losch Foundation has set itself a framework that fosters agility and proactivity in the face of current challenges facing children and young people.

The heart of our work

The Foundation believes in the importance of long-term collaboration with its partners, in order to make the most of everyone’s skills and resources.
Our aim is to support projects over the long term, to establish a complementary relationship and to move forward together.

The Foundation focuses on building a relationship of trust with partners, in order to promote the implementation of sustainable practices and generate a strong societal impact.

Its financial independence, resulting from the shareholder foundation economic model, allows it to control the selection of projects, partners, and strategies in the interest of the common good.

André Losch Foundation supports its partners in 3 ways.

– a financial contribution enabling them to carry out their project;
– capacity-building opportunities;
– methodological support throughout the project cycle, including impact measurement through the definition and monitoring of indicators.

Strong positioning as a facilitator

The Foundation also recognizes the existence of an ecosystem in which all actors play their part in the service of society; it contributes to this by forging partnerships and promoting other actors.
The Foundation encourages the creation of spaces for dialogue and encounters, as a facilitator of exchanges and federator of initiatives, in order to encourage interdisciplinary synergies in the service of youth.
